Have installed SQL 2000 on 2000 server box.
server name: phantom
SQL server: FOXGUISQL
IP address of box: 192.168.0.12
Active diectory active
Have set SQL logon to mixed
Install worked fine. Created ODBC on server no problem.
On workstation installed recient MDAC and brought ODBC up to SQL version 2000
Attemped to setup ODBC system DSN have tried all combinations from server name followed by SQL server name to IP address followed by SQL server name.
Something intersting that I found was that when I tried setting it up if I clicked finish insteed of continue the screen that is brought up shows the previous version of ODBC drivers.. Is this something to worry about?
Does anyone out there in thread land know of some tests that I can preform or a solution?
