I administer an environment with many Cisco devices (routers, switches and PIX's). I would like to perform automated backups for as many of the devices as I can. I was tossing around the idea of using Linux with TFTP and doing scripts, however this seems long and tedious (plus I have to learn scripting).

Any good tools out there for doing this - especially freeware?

Have you ever considered using CiscoWorks? It is not free, of course, but it is a very efective product for Cisco environment.

I think that you can use Kiwi CatTools.
Although I haven't tried it myself, I was told that it can do exactly what you ask and above all it's free. :)
