I have an S8300/G700 at our main location and G700/S8300LSP at 2 other sites. When we try and have a conference call that involves a party from all 3 locations the caller at the main site can hear everyone but the 2 callers at the remote sites hear no audio. Calls within location are set to use codec G711 and calls between locations set to use codec G729. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

check to make sure you have enough DSP resources at each location. do a "list meas ip dsp sum yes" your looking for % blocking. On one Medpro board you can have 64 711 calls but you can only have 32 729 calls.

Thanks for the input, however this is not the problem.

Check for UDP port duplication or restirctions (Firewall). On each of the ip codec sets of the network regions, make sure they both have g729 and/or g711

In the future everything will work...

NX01, we have no UDP port restrictions and the IP codec sets have both G711 and G729.
