Is it possible to use an Option 11c for conference calls?

I mean can someone externally call a number here and enter a password to join a conference call?

no that feature is not surpported on this platform, we use an outside vendor for that

You might be able to use an MICB card. They're pretty slick, but pricey. John's solution is probably better. We use an outside vendor also.

i wish the micb, would do that, after the options and or password i can't make it conf the callers. i want a new feature that lets all the people on hold talk to each other. think i could sell that one

We use a third party solution, like a MCU from Tandberg or polycom to handle both voice and video and connect it to a PRI card, expensive but functional....

We use the Meridian Integrated Conference Bridge (MICB).

To set users up we Log onto an IP address from the Web to the Switch and Set up the Conference Details there.

Maximum Patricipants 32, with Local Dial in Plus Long Distance. System has Caller Identification and Password assigned to Group, when caller logs in they say their name and switch introduces them into meeting.

System also has Chairperson function, Chairperson uses different Phone number to Log In and can control meeting including Mute for Self and All users, Droping rude callers, start and stop music and extending conference for additional 15 minutes.

Works really great and has reduced our vendor/PacBell/MCI costs. Setup is simple and Fast.

Good Luck,

The MICB rls 4.0 can shcedule meetings through outlook calender as well. You can also use 1 "800" number then enter meeting ID. Chairperson can also log in by browser and add or drop callers etc..

I am sorry but I have two Option 11C's and they both do conferencing without any third party intervention. On my 3903's and up I have a conference key and everything. The feature only works on 3903 and up phones. Multi Line instruments.

demusrasta Did you read the Question Or are you using a MICB? You didn't say how you did this.

That feature only allows 6 parties max. and no calling in.

like mluckie said, not for a dial in, confer must be set up by an internal user, dial number, wait for answer, press conf twice dial next number wait for answer, press conf twice.. 6 total members, int or ext,, went back into the mica card, it does not address that feature
