Can anybody confirm that in order to conference 2 or more outside (public) parties you must have the station assigned to a COS that has Trk-to-Trk Transfer Override set to Yes.

This seems to be the case on our V8.2 csi switch but it seems to me that it wasn't the case on a V7si system I used to maintain.

I still have Trunk-to-Trunk Transfer set to None on Pg 1 of the Sys-Parameters so I think I'm OK as far as not allowing someone to transfer a call to an outbound line and take control of it. Right?
PS. Using ISDN PRI bi-directional trunks.

Thanks for your input,

I believe that you do not need trunk-to-trunk transfer override in order to initiate a conference call from an extension. You should be able to conference in up to 5 outside lines from an internal station but if the internal station hangs up, all calls are dropped unless there is another internal station in the conference call.
