I want to use conditional format to highlight any cell that is text rather than blank or numeric.
How would I go about this please?

Thanks in advance,
Gavona

Gavona,

This will work...

In Conditional Formatting window, use:

Formula is: =ISTEXT(A1)

and of course choose "Format" and then a "Pattern" of your choice.

Hope this helps.

P.S.

Perhaps I should have mentioned... to enter the formatting in the current cell (I used A1), and then copy it to whatever range you require the formatting.

Please advise as to how you make out.

Perfect Dale. A bit of an easy one for you but have a star as it got me out of a hole and I've got to get this finished tonight.
