Conditional format in 03 runtime causes flashing

I have a continuous form in 03 version. Based on the value of bound check boxes, 2 fields will have formatting set using conditional format. When this is run on my development system, the continuous form works flawlessly. When I distribute to runtime machines, the continuous form constantly refreshes which appears as flashing records. That form will sometimes stop or the database will crash. When the form is opened on the runtime machine "Calculating..." constantly appears in the status bar. If the conditional formatting is removed so is the problem. Any ideas? (Other than removing the conditional formatting)

Thank you for your assistance! I installed the Office '03 service pack which patched the runtime and it works perfectly. Thanks again for your help.
