Concatenate formula

I work with ndc's every day, they are an 11 digit id number for drugs. Usually they appear like this from my system: 06598456812. I had a concatenate formula that transferefd them into this format 06598-4568-12 but I lost it. Any help?

no need - just set up a custom format of:
00000-0000-00

xlbo is correct, and just for education:

=LEFT(A1,5)&"-"&MID(A1,6,4)&"-"&RIGHT(A1,2)



[Blue]Blue[/Blue] [Dragon]

If I wasn't Blue, I would just be a Dragon...
