I'm using Excel and what to Concatenate two columns of data into one column. One column contains the last name and the other contains the first name. First of all I know how to concatenate. The problem I'm having is that when I concatenate both the first name and last name come together with no space between the first and last names. I can I resolved this?

try (a1 is first name, b1 is second)

=a1&" "&b1

To take this thread further...

I've got 3 columns of info combined into one as your formula suggests. What I'd like to know is: Can I turn a formula into "text"?

Column 4 is a combination of 3 columns plus it's own text "Your last issue" to end up showing this.
Col 1 Col 2 Col 3
ID# RTR 337 =A2&B2& " Your last Issue: "&J2

Col 4
V2#2

What I'd like to do is convert Col. 3 into text to be able to export to someone else for labels. I remember I could do this in Lotus 1-2-3 years ago. I don't know about Excel 2000. Can anyone help?
