Some of our machines are not getting any group policy updates.

A gpresult is run, and it says the computer gets the update, however none is made,

also we have been having issues where computers work fine in the IT room, get all the updates, when they are moved they do not, but they still have access to the network

this could be because the link is slow? how does xp treat slow networks, i didn't know it would stop updates all together, ill look at the event logs and see what it says, and ill post it

but has any1 else had these problems or have any solutionjs thanks :)

these policies are not applied with slow network connections

Policies that are not applied:
•Application Deployment
•Scripts
•Folder Redirection
•Disk Quotas

these ones are applied:
•Registry settings (from administrative templates) must always be applied--this cannot be changed
•Security policies must always be applied - this cannot be changed)
•EFS recovery policy
•IP security

another question, when disableing the windows xp sp2 firewall with GPO, is that classified as a registry setting? meaning it would be applied even if it is a slow link?

thabnks

it says something about synchronised time

how close does synchronisation have to be?
