I am working on a Dell Latitude Notebook running Windows XP Pro that won't boot up. It will come up to the Dell Screen and then turn blank. When trying to boot into Safe Mode it pauses at the first line that reads
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe

I have ran TuffTest Pro diagnostic software and found no problems with the display adapter or Hard Drive.

Any ideas on what could be the problem and/or what else to try.

THANKS!!

Do you have the recovery softare that came with the notebook.

Never give up never give in.

There are no short cuts to anything worth doing :)
