I have recently built my computer from scratch. I had Windows ME on then I had to perform a clean install. I formatted the hard drive & reinstalled ME. The problem is that Hibernation is not showing in power properties & my system will not go on standby. It used to before. I looked up help then used "nohiber.txt to see what the problem was. This is what I got "Hibernation disabled because hibernate is not supported by the audio driver- serwave.vxd."

When using pmres.exe it said "Your computer was not able to use standby mode. Your BIOS may not support this feature or may not be configured properly"

I then looked at susfail.txt & it said " Your computer could not Suspend or Hibernate, because a device vetoed the Suspend or Hibernate request. "

My motherboard is fully ACPI compliant.

Do you have to have a certain driver for the VIA Tech power management contoller in system properties / Device manager/ System devices.

Also when I start up a few programs like media player, my coonect to internet dialog box appers. How do I turn this off?

Could anyone help me. I would be so grateful

Thank You
