I'm looking at starting my MCSD shortly and am wondering what spec computer I could be looking to get to run Visual Studio.Net for training and practive purposes?

Cheers

Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday - and all is well.....

I have a 1.8GHz with 768mb Ram at home and it runs decent. If you're planning on doing any professional development, I would go for a bit higher model tho.

If go out to Microsofts website they have a complete list of recommended and required specs.

I was working on a 2.4ghz with 1g of memory. It was do-able as long as I didn't have too much going on at once (large data pulls in SQL Advantage or Query Analyzer would really bog the system). Now I'm working on a 3.2ghz HT with 2 gigz of memory. The thing keeps chuging even with 2 IDEs, data pulls, fire fox, test track pro and other stuff running. It's fast enough to leave VBCommenter on all the time.
