When I put a ghost image on a (win98) client, then change the name and join the domain, the name displayed by the CMC after the client logs in, is still the one that came with the image, so I have alot of pc's with the same name in the CMC. I use both client version 7 and 8 with the same problem. Server is Windows 2000 with Citrix metaframe XPe, FR3.
Any ideas on how to fix or to prevent this?
Thanks in advance.

When you setup the citrix client on the imaged PC, which option did you choose for client name (I believe it's the 3rd for 4th screen in the setup)...use the PC name or client name?

Use the PC name. It's either that or fill in a name manually, no option like "Use client name".

I have run into this before and it seems as though the client grabs the initial name its givin and stores that rather than the system variable for the computer name. My only solution has been to manually change the name after the machine has had an image put on it.

Philly44,

Sound fair enough to me. But.. where can I change the Citrix client name? I suppose it's somewhere in the registry, but I can't find it.

Argh! I totally overlooked it. After searching the registry again, I found the location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Citrix\ICA Client, value ClientName.

Thanks for the thoughts, guys.
