This is the case. One of my computer's has a PIII 550Mhz processor 256mb ram, Don't remember the MBs name but its a good one. Computer turns on and power supply seems to be fine. When computer is turned on it doesn't do anything, the screen does not come up, its like the signal is not being transmitted via the video card, so I changed video card with another and still nothing. Then I removed most of the cards in the system, reinstalled and still nothing. I am thinking perhaps something is wrong with the MB or should I just pull everything out and reinstall it? This just happened all of a sudden, the computer would be turned on and its sounds great when turning on, but no beeps, no display in screen. Usually when turned on the monitor's green LED will show, it stay on Yellow, which means its not getting anything from Computer.

Any Help thanks

Can you try disconnecting everything apart from (good) graphics card and keyboard and one stick of memory (ie, remove all other cards, hard drives, CD/DVD drives, floppy drives and mouse). Then try booting - see if get POST screen (if no good, swap memory stick - assuming > 1). If no good, suggest processor or motherboard is damaged/defunct. If it does boot, reconnect hardware one piece at a time until it doesn't boot - that should be your culprit.

To test if the mobo is bad try removing all the ram and restarting. If it beeps, it should post ok and the problem lies in something other than the mobo. Remove the graphics card, it should beep. If there are no beeps, i'd suspect a bad mobo

Thanks for all the help guys, I did prior try to listen for a beep, and I never got any beeps. My idea was the MB is dead after trying several troubleshooting techniques which you all explained. I removed memory and graphics card never got a beep, so its the MB. Dratz, well thanks for the help.

Hi
Test the PSU before spending money on a new mobo.
