Computer Crashing !

I'm on a Kv7vza mobo, 1.4ghz amd tbird, 256 cl2pc133 crucial ram, v3 3000
My computer always seems to crash when i load up windows. I've installed Windows 2k and it freezes at the same spot every time. Right after I log in. I tried installing 98 se and i had the same problem.
Any ideas?

All I can say is on my new 1.2 T/bird system I had exactly the same problem, just as it was about to show the desktop it would crash!!
Changed the processor, nothing more, and everything was OK??
It was all new bits! so I don't know why exactly!
I was fortunate that the local supplier was willing to swop a few bits untill the processor was changed and the problem ceased!
