Hello,
With in the last two days I have had the same boot up experience with two different XP computer.
Computer 1:
Client call me and said that his computer will not boot up. Everytime it boot we try to boot up in safe mode, last best know config, normal start... the computer goes into a booting cycle. A couple of times it mentiont that it missing a Hive files. When the blue screen pop up.
Put in XP disk and try to do a recovery. It worked for a day and started the same problem again.
Computer 2:
Totally different client work in a different industry. Called me up to connect his computer to the network. Everything was good to go, until I change the Workgroup and reboot. Again, it went into a booting files. I was able to boot one last time using the best know config. Once it boot up after that it stated a missing .Dll files.
At this point, I think I am going to just reinstall XP on the computer, but I wanted to see if anyone else expereice the same problem. Could this be a fault created by XP upgraded or what can I do to avoid this. Both have service Pack 2, and I know that one has been running good for months.
