What kind of compression components (if any) are people using, and any kind of experiences do you have with them?

It is not possible for anyone to acknowledge truth when their salary depends on them not doing it.

I'm using one out of the Jedi/JCL. Seems to work for what I need it to do. It appears, however, to be quite tied to the extension of the archive to determine the algorithm to use. I'd prefer to create a file an specify the algorithm myself. It might do that but I didn't want to dig in too much as I was under a time constraint.
