Hey guys,, I'm desparately trying to change the user names on my windows XP computers. I go to control panel, change the names and everything looks fine on the desktop, but it doesn't change the user names on the network. When I hit Ctrl Alt Delete, it still shows the same user names that were there before (AKA "Owner", "Admin" etc...). I seriously need to change the usernames because I'm setting up shared folders with permissions and I need to be able to change the user names completely. Can anyone help me?

You may have to delete this user and create a new one with the name you want. You should be able to make use of My Computer/ Properties/ Advanced/ User Profiles/ Settings to copy your username folder contents to a new username that is created.

See "To copy a user profile" in Help and Support.
