hi, I'm new and want to teach myself Perl. I'm going with Sam's teach yourself Perl in 21 days and The Camel book.

I need to know what software I need to Program Perl on my win98 pc.

can you help me out?

I want to write some code that will crawl internet forums for stock tickers (symbols) and other info,and then compile a database with the information. is Perl the way to go?

if so, what do I need (what software do I need) to get started?

Perl can do all of this and more.
