compiled reports (v 8.5) record selection

I have one report that I have compiled for distribution, that includes a date formula and other formulas in the report. When I run the executable the 'record selection' box prompts me for modification of all other formulas except the date. Is there something I'm doing wrong, or are Crystal Distributed reports not capable of this?

This is a hard coded feature of compiled reports using the compile feature in CR. You can't disable this check box, but the statemnts that are eligible to be edited are limited to the following:

Equal
Between
Greater than
Less than

If you write your selection formula to not use these, you cannot modify the selection criteria on the compiled report. Software Sales, Training and Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine
