Hi;
I just installed MS Office Pro 2003 on my computer.
When I try to enter MS Excel or MS Work I am getting the following pop-up error message.
It is titled "Microsoft Visual Basic"
The error is
"Compile error in hidden module: AutoExec"

When I try to close Excel I am getting a
"Compile error in hidden module: DistMon"
error.

And when I try to exit Word I am getting the same message I get when I open the program.
"Compile error in hidden module: AutoExec"

All of these messages has Microsof Visual Basic In the title bar.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
Alan

Hi al929,

Do you have Adobe Acrobat on your machine? Look for PDFWriter.xla in your Excel startup folder. I don't have 2003, so don't know what the actual error may be or whether you can fix it.

Enjoy,
Tony

I agree with Tony - sounds like an add-in gone bad. Try removing the add-ins you have installed one at a time to see which one makes the error go away.
