comparing the value sin two DB2 tables

i have two DB2 tables with 5 columns each. I have to read the first column of both the tables and compare the value with the third table. if the amount doesnt match i have to send out a report. I am very new to DB2 and i have a deadline. Did any body write this kind of comparison program. if any of you have a sample program could u please share it with me or send in suggestions as to how should i be proceeding on this.

It looks like you want a DB2 solution (not COBOL). You may want to post this at General 'database discussion' on this site.
