I have two tables with the same fields. I want to be able to compare the two tables and to find out which customers have changes in the new table compared to the previous table and to note new customers (people not in the previous table). Can Access do this and if so, how?

Thank You for any help you may have.

(1) Make a query and include the two tables in question.

(2) Insert the appropriate relationships (most likely CustID to CustID) making sure to drag from the NEW table to the OLD.

(3) Double-click the relationship line/s you just made and select option 2 - option 2 simply means SHOW ALL RECORDS FROM THE NEW TABLE AND ONLY RELATING RECORDS IN THE OLD TABLE. You can include any fields from both tables.

Hopefully this will solve you problem. But keep in mind that if your NEW customer table excludes customers in the OLD table then they will be excluded.
