This is a question for theCRM experts. Our company is thinking about deploying a on deamnd CRM solution. The vendors we're consdiering are Rightnow (which internal research shows is the best), salesforce.com, and Siebel Systems. Rrquest for proposals have gone out. We are new to this product and I wanted to get some expert opinions about which product is
1) The overall best
2) the best value
3) most flexible
4) best company to work and develope a long term relationship with.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Hi,

Interesting choices. Can I ask why you've not included Saleslogix or ACCPAC CRM (Sage CRM)? These are two of the market leaders at the moment.

I've worked with Siebel on a EMEA wide implementation for an IT company and I have to say my experience with them was not good. I found the European organisation very difficult to deal with and I doubt they could spell Value for Money.

Salesforce.com I have no direct experience of, but have taken over some customers and migrated them to other systems. Salesforce.com has some nice features but moving from them wasnt easy, the data comes out in Excel and not all of the links you'd like were exported ie the unique IDs for cross referencing. They may of solved this or it could just of been the customer I dealt with.

RightNow I think comes from the helpdesk side more than anything else and are only recently making waves so not really come across them.

Whichever you go for ensure that you have a firm idea of what your looking to achieve, that you've given this to them in writing and they've confirmed in writing its what their going to do - with a fixed price ideally.

Also get reference sites, so many people dont bother to do this....

Richard.
