I am looking for a fairly "cool" looking keyboard for our visitors' centre, and have seen pictures of the compaq wireless (infra-red) keyboard. It looks pretty good, but they are not available in the UK yet. Has anyone had a chance to use one? If so, is it any good to use?

if you find a good keyboard, dont leave the mouse out of the picture, use either a Microsoft Intelimouse Explorer, or a new Logitech Mouse(the one that uses a blue laser instead of a redone found in Microsoft mice)

Thanks Karl.

The keyboard actually has a trackball instead of a mouse, which is built into the top right hand corner of the whole unit. It just is not available in the UK, and Compaq will not say when it will be, so I can't even try one out.

I purchased the Compaq wireless keyboard back in April. I have been using it at work ever since. So far, it has been an excellent choice. I paid far less for this kb than I would have for other brands (Logitech) and have been very impressed. I use the kb regularly for 40-50 hours a week and I am still running on the same batteries I got with it. The range has been great and the mouse and keys are good. I was led to believe that they would exactly portray that of a notebook but in actuality, they seem to perform better. If you are going to buy one, buy the compaq.
