Hi,
my question is regarding my compaq 5000US restore won't run properly. It has windows Me (restore disk) on it. I put the restore disk in and a nice bright red screen (I guess meaning it won't work
lol) says "consult your compaq dealer" pops up! I have tried to go back and run format C: and fdisk neither one will work in comand prompt. is there anyway I can get the those two (format C: and fdisk) to work? I have 2k installed as FAT32 not NTFS is that will make a difference, if i am correct i believe that Me was ran off of FAT16. Also by putting back the original modem, sound card, video card, RAM, and pulling out the CD-rewritable will that possibly make it work? Format C: tries to run then i get a propmt saying "that there is another volume, attempt to force dismount?" i put in yes and it says it couldn't force the dismount. Any help will be greatly apprechiated
