I am trying to load WINDOWS 95 or 98 on to a Compaq 866and I am getting this message: " The following file is missing or corrupted: SAMPLE.SYS. There is a error on your CONFIG.SYS file on line 12. WARNING - This system may not be set up to use the CD ROM. Please contact your manufacturer if setup does not start autoatically".
I really need to load WINDOWS 95 or 98 but I can't without the CD ROM working. Ant ideas? What should I do about the error message if anything? Thanks
