Simple question.
Today we use a large Foxproapp built in Foxpro 2.6, my question is can we transfer all the code and tables to Foxpro 8 and it will work?
There are many things that will work, but the technology and advancements that VFP8.0 can offer makes it worth rewriting the application to takes advantage of the new functionalities.

In theory, you can run 2.x code unaltered in VFP. It should all work pretty well the same (with some exceptions). Howevever, it won't take advantage of any of the hundreds of new features in both VFP and Windows. In short, there is probably no benefit in doing this, unless you see it as a first step towards a total rewrite.

One thing not mentioned so far, is that if this is FP DOS (not FP Windows), then the "look-and-feel" will be much different and more difficult to simply make it run under VFP 8.0.
