Does anybody have any good examples of using Flash to interact with the communication server? I'm going to be building an interface much like they use on ODEO.com ( that will record audio from a users mic. I'm almost postive that the com server is the only way to do this currently and luckily for me, the money isn't a big issue for my company.

I'm about to download and experiment with the free version but I'd love to see some examples if anybody has any experience. I'm also open to any other resources if somebody knows a way to do this without the com server.. I'm sure eventually there will be an open source alternative.

Interesting.. I'll probably still have to go with the communication server since RED5 is still in testing stages. That one looks very promising once all the features are in place. I'll look into it for future projects.

Anybody else have any ideas or possible some examples with the comm server?

I personally haven't done this before, but I think your recorded sounds will be in FLV format, not in MP3 or other sound formats (both Flash Media Server and Red5) - hope this is not a problem for your project!
