Communication link failure 1

Does anyone know the cause of this error? I got this error in a visual basic program. The program was running fine and suddenly the program got stuck. I had to restart my computer to recover the program.<br><br>This is the message:<br>-2147467259, [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Communication link failure

did u got any solution for this error, i m also getting such problem, i m using my appliation and database on same machine, i m using MSDE2000. and when i unplugged network cable its give me above error, i m connected through ODBC. and checked all the configuration, if u find solution for above problem plz let me know,
