Hello guys,

I need a linux web-browser (_not_ text based) that can be completely configured command line. It is supposed to run on a pc that has NO keyboard or mouse, and the browser will be started by a server program that runs on that pc.
So no interaction with the brower is possible, it will be started with a certain url, and when the url has to change, it will just be 'killed' and a new browser will be put in the place.
Does anyone know such a browser ?

Also, if I could find a flash standalone player for on the same machine, also command line, it would be good to.

Thanks

Greetz,

lynx is the classic command line browser.

or do you need something like cURL for using as a library for use with perl or php to do neato web-http-https-ftp transactions?

A little more on your actual application would be quite helpful.

Surfinbox.com Business Internet Services - National Dialup, DSL, T-1 and more.

No I need pictures also..text based is not good enough.
The application is a server that runs on a machine and listens to commands over tcp. It can start applications also with a certain command. So launching a browser on screen with a certain web-page would be nice. But I can only start applications from within my server program,so the browser has to be launched with 1 command line. So url,x,y,width and height must certainly be some parameters. I already tried netscape, but I always get a proxy box popping up, and since there is no mouse and keyboard on that pc available, it can not filled in and clicked away.
Is this clearer ?
