i see where recently 'mscallisto' posted a bit of a command linen language for the octel 6000 as follows:

.li u SD
Enter MAILBOX NUMBER.
LST:
SINGLE DIGIT MENU TABLE:
30000 1 3000

now my question is this ..... is there a similar programming language for the octel 250 i think is what we have? reason i am asking is i have a real ugly script that is use for inputting mailboxes that prompts for the username, the mailbox number, the smdi link that we want it to use, and the class of service, but it has a ton of transmit ^M commands in it. real ugly. but at least i can get it to read from a text file and put in a hundred boxes in an hour. trouble is the error correctiuonn is non existant at this point. if there is a command line interface that i can get into it would be much quicker since there is direct field input i imagine, instead of having to hit enter to get to the desired field. any helpo will be greatly appreciated!

thanks, jeff

No, a command line interface, simular to the one you describe is not available. The terminal interface is the only one avaialble. You can probably update your script, to catch some of the errors, but you will still need all of those "CR's" to move from field to field.

It is true the "^M"'s make the script look ugly. However, once it is written, you should not have to touch the script.
I have written a script that will read from a file for adding 1000's of mailboxes and also add them to distribution lists

Hmmm I just can't remember that post, what's the thread number?
