I am including a command button instead of the standard nav. buttons but they won't show up in the run mode, but are still there in design mode. I have checked to see if visible is on, it is!

any suggestion?

Is this on a form? If so, does the size of the form allow for showing the buttons (or just try moving them to another location/section and try again)

It is on the form and the form has enough space, in fact the form expands past the button location but does not show it.

Is there a means to attach the form here?

OK, I figured it out...

I had it in the footer of the form as the book suggested but when it moved it to the main body it worked!

Is the book wrong?

Hi again!

Well - the form has both a page and a form footer (check the View menu). The page footer, I believe, will only show when printing (that's why I stated "or moving to another location/section)", but the form footer should normally do (haven't "researched" in depth, but that's my experience).
