I am having a senior moment. I just traveled out to the MS KB site, and could not get any info. No word that I entered into the search criteria for any of the MS Access versions and all I got returned were the FAQ's. I honestly think that they have taken the whole KB site offline!
I have forgotten how to do a query by form whereby one of the selections is to return all of the records. Would someone jog my memory? Thank you in advance.

Laura,

Not sure if you mean Filter by Form where any control you don't select and specify criteria will not be filtered or building a query off of a table or tables without specifying criteria.

If it's the latter, from the database window, select the Query tab, select "New", "Design View", and select the table or tables you want included on the Add dialog box.

You can select all of the fields from a table by double-clicking on the field list and dragging it down to the Query grid or dragging the asterisk into the grid.

As long as you don't specify any criteria, all records will show.

I hope that is what you were after.

John

Use this construct in the query.

WHERE col1 = forms!frmname!combo1
OR forms!frmname!combo1 = "All" Terry L. Broadbent
