Combobox Question

Hello All,

I think this is a simple question. I have set up a combobox to dropdown values for selection from a base table. So, for example, if you have to choose marital status, it will dropdown all the values in the marital status table.

However, I would like to know how/if I can add "All" to the top of this list for selection. I do not need/want to add it to my table, but I would like the user to be able to select "All" (ID=0) or something specific as per table.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Yes, this is actually exactly what I want to do!
Except... when I do a union, the Query writer tells me "Union not supported" ! And I was so excited as it is an elegant solution.
Is it anything I am / am not doing?

Any help would be appreciated.

Could you post the union query that you are trying to use?

Are you using an Access database?

I am using SQL 2000 with MS Access Project.
However, you made me think and I had a look at the MVP site again... it does indeed add "(All)", whereas SQL won't accept that!

So I change the exact query to now say '(All)' instead and that worked
Bizarre message the first time round tho <scratch head> - I would have imagined that it would give a different error message and not that "Union is not supported" !
