I have a form which only is bound to a textbox/calendar. The rest of the controls are all unbound. When I select a date and then move to a combo control, the combo when selected goes blank. I have to either select it two times, or put a textbox between the date textbox and the compbo, ie Text/Calendar - Text Field - Cobmo Control. Really enjoying 2010, wish I had a direct line to Bill Gates to thank him once again. Anybody else had this feature!!

Hi Domino,

You have a text box / calendar control that is bound on a form. Is this correct? (It isn't what you stated).

If so: if you select a date from the calendar - the calendar drops a date into the text-box yeah?

You then click a combo - and it 'goes blank'. Do you mean that it does not drop down what it normal drops down?

I've got a feeling that you are populating the combo with values dependent on the date selected.

If so - then we need to see the code that attempts to do this (combo.<on change>).
If not, then please explain what you expect to happen and paste the code that you are using to achieve this.

Hello Darrylles. I have a textbox/calendar on a form, its the inbuilt date picker that appears if you set the format of the textbox to date. I had to make a table with just one field to bind the texbox to, as the textbox/calendar will only work if bound to a table. That all works okay.

In the onchange event of the textbox/calendar it leaves the date value in the textbox, and I then setfocus to a combo box, issue a dropdown event to the combo and it opens waiting for a user to select an item from the combo. However when trying to select a value in the combo it makes the combo null, and not until being clicked and selected again does it not retain the value selected.

I was going to try adding another field in my underlying table to bind the combo to, to see if it made any difference, but so far not had time.

I have found a few bugs in Access 2010. Tried reinstalling, getting updates, but still the same.

Thanks, hope that's a bit clearer
