I have a combo box with a parts room number say 800d23da

All my parts room numbers have the 800 prefix number.
I do not want to look at this prefix.
In my combo box I would just see for the above part nummber is d23da
not sure how to hide the first couple ot letters?
I am sure it's easy not sure how.

I'm assuming your combo box has one column.

In design view, go to your combo box "row source" property.
Click on the ... button to open the query builder. Leave the part number column as the first column. You will still need to use this field as your bound column. In the next column enter this expression in the field row:

Part: Mid$([NameOfYourPartNumberField],4)
This returns a portion of the part number starting with the fourth character.

Go back to your combo box properties
Set column count 2
Set column widths 0";1"
Make the bound column 1

That should do it.
