RFa - Grand Total
RFb - subreport (archived info w/ Prodid, lot, quantity)

Basically trying to combine a archived report with the current report to get total quantity by product id and then a grand total.

Can I ask for some help on this one? This is exactly what I'm currently trying to do. I've done the first 2 things you suggested.
New at this could you explain a little more about this?

From prior post on this thread...

"Main report header based on the subreport section firing by setting a variable."

Thanks!
Dave

For future reference, it's not a good idea to start new threads continued from other ones--it forces readers to have to search for other information in other threads and disrupts continuity. Anyway...

I think your subreport should be linked by ProdID to the main report, and the subreport placed in a group header section. You could then create a shared variable in the subreport (and place it on the subreport canvas) and then reference it in formulas in the main report that calculate your summaries. Be sure the shared variables used in the main report are in sections below where the subreport is firing.
