I built a serial connection for the BCM using a DB9F and a DB9M and a straight through cable. I want to build the same type of connector for the Meridian. Does anyone know the pinouts I will need.

the output on the serial of the switch is output on bd25..

Will that need to be a db25f or db25m?

your cable will be male as the connections on the Meridian are female.

depends on which port you use.. j-25 is female j-26 is a male.. one is dce the other dte.. so both the wiring and the sex are flexable..

if you use the the paddle boaards they are female, dte or dce dependant on switch settings..

opt 11 style are female, again both dce and dte..

so the wiring and the plug type are dependant on switch settings, switch type and which i/o you use.. that's a good reason most people look up the part number and order it. we did wire ours on site due to the length and the fact that we needed 6 terms in th switchroom
