COM component working on win2k, not working on win2k3

Hi,

I have a COM component (written in Visual J++) that runs fine under Windows NT and Windows 2000 but fails under Windows Server 2003. It is intended to use with ASP/IIS. On the W2k3 server, I have installed MSJVM build 3810.

Upon creation of the object, either through ASP on the web site or VBScript on a command prompt, I get the infamous "Catastrofic Failure 0x8000FFFF" error.

Of course, the component was written a while ago by someone else and I don't have the source.

Does anyone have a hint on how to troubleshoot this?
