I am having a colorado 350 internal tape drive.... which i used on my old machines with 98 and all. now i am using a P4-2.4, Winxp ....

this drive can be interfaced with the floppy disk controller along with the floppy drive....

now i have connected this drive but windows does not recognise this drive and i couldn't find any drivers too...

can anyone help me find some drivers for this drive. i do have some drivers which i downloaded containing files with .inf extension but it does not contain any colorado350 in it... or may be it does...and have a seperate procedure to install it... kindly help me...

thank you,
Kewlcoder.

Sorry, but they just plain don't make XP drivers for that tape drive.. heck, they don't even have Win2000 drivers which you could have used..

Your option.. get a new XP-compatible tape drive or go back to using Win98..

I threw mine away before XP! Too small, and CD burners are much quicker and cheaper.

can some one tell me where i can find some information if i want to program my computer to detect my tape drive and restore data from some of my tapes.

or some thing like developing my own set of drivers for this device.....

actually i have some very necessary information in one of my tapes so it is important for me to be able to use this device.

please help thank you....

Do you have access to a Win 98 or 95 machine you open the tapes with and copy the information with a USB "stick", or burn to CD?
