collation conflict from Enterprise Manager

Hi all,
When using Enterprise Manager to create a new user, I get

Error 446: Cannot resolve collation conflict for equal to operation. (ODBC SQLState: 42000)

and cannot continue.

But I can use sp_adduser and sp_addlogin to do the job. Any ideas why EM gets this problem?

Try using the profiler to see what enterprise manager is doing.
I would guess your database has a different colation to the system databases.
