Cognos Application Firewall

When attempting to try to hide/show groups in a Cube Upfront, the following error message is produced:
"Your request was rejected by the security firewall.
Please try again or contact your administrator."

When I disable the Cognos Application Firewall (CAF) the request works as expected. Are there any issues I should be concerend with by setting the CAF to false.

By default the Firewall is ON in Cognos Configuration Manager. You have to turn it OFF , if you don't have any.

CAF is a product to help prevent you from malicious attacks via cross site scripting (XSS). If you are comfortable with a lower level of application security, then by all means, disable CAF.

FYI, CAF does not mean that you have to have a firewall prsent in your environment. It simply is a security layer on the application itself.
