I'm trying to set up a Codian/Tandberg ISDN Gateway (3201 series) for a department to connect voice calls, through our 81C/CS1K, to their video conferencing system. I'm doing the telephone side, and the department's IT support guy is doing the IP side.

I have the PRI configured and connected to the gateway, but I'm unclear on how the calls need to be presented to the gateway so that they can connect to the video MCU.

I'm looking for someone who has done this before, so I can see how a working setup is configured.

Any help is appreciated.

are you connecting to the bri side or the ip side?

I'm connecting to the ISDN port, but it's a PRI, not a BRI. This is a gateway, to allow the department to bring voice-only participants into video conference calls on their MCU.

The department IT admin is able to call out from the IP side, and connect to on-switch numbers like their ICB in the CS1K (I haven't set up routing yet for calls out to the PSTN).

Right now I'm trying to understand how to send calls into the IP side from the ISDN side.

This is done through dialplan. You will need to set up steering codes in the 81C as well as an RLI that points to the route with the PRI.

Looks like you are very close now.
