Hallo,

We are in the process of upgrading CMS from v8 to the latest, v12 I believe.
We also have IEX's TotalView, which gets its data from CMS via 4 custom reports.

Have anybody done this? And if so, did you need to modify/rewrite the custom reports?

Whoever is carrying out your upgrade should also migrate your RTA-Module as part of the upgrade. If your TotalView application is supported by whoever is carrying out the upgrade they should assist, if not write the custom reports for you.
When we upgraded from R6 to R11 we told our MIS guys that "Custom Reports were not supported as part of the upgrade process". Needless to say they were not impressed, but still had to re-write all their custom reports as the DB schemas were different.

Let us know how you get on.
Good Luck. :)

Thanks - this is useful information. I will keep everyone updated for the record.

Update: Seems we need to have the TotalView custom reports rewritten. We originally purchased these through Avaya Professional Services. Would anybody have a ballpark figure on what these would cost nowadays?

The last I checked the custom reports cost $1,000 a piece, but that was several years ago. They may be cheaper.
