CMS RTA for WFM 1

I know how to change the configuration for the TCS historical feed but need to change the rta feed.

I just need confirmation that all I need to do is change the IP address the rta points to and the new server needs to listen to port 6996 (I confirmed port number in CMS).

Nothing else? No ftp, no username, no password like the TCS feed?

I just want to ask, how do u understand this CMS RTA. What is it all about?

The extent of my understanding of CMS RTA is that this is a feed to the eWFM (Work Force Management) system. It is set up by Avaya and is an optional component of CMS that you have to buy.

The feed is sent out to the IP address of the eWFM system receiving the feed, which is defined in the HOSTS file in the /etc directory.

The default port for the feed is 6996, so the system receiving this feed must be set up to listen on this port for the data CMS is sending.

The skills that the CMS system sends real-time data on are defined in CMS under the RTA menu.

Does anyone have any more information:

I have two ACD's on my CMS both with RTA feeds to aspect EWFM server on ip address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
one is sending on port 6996 and one is on port 5001

I need to change the IP adrress of the EWFM to yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy and set the ports on one feed to 6996 and the other to 6997

I believe to change the IP address i just amend the /etc/hosts table but not sure where ports are changed

The rta information is in the /export/home/pserv/rta* directory. The file is 'startrta' where the destination host name & port are defined. After a change you will have to stop & restart the feed for the change to take affect. There are different directories for different WFM applications such is rta_iex (IEX) and rta_bp (Blue Pumpkin).
