CMOS SERIAL ENABLE, KILLS STANDBY IN NEW P4 2

OK, this might be challenging. ASUS p4800e, 3G CPU, 2Gb RAM (XP SP2 HOME). New TECHNOLOGY--RIGHT? Well, what am I doing wrong? Nothing is connected to the serial port(S) when I enable then. XP gives me an error message to the effect that standby is not possible because the serial ports will not let the machine sleep. Everything set on auto for plug and play.

OK! Problem solved. Leave it up to a money program to "hang" my computer. Also, what does this stop from working with Quicken if anything. These finance guys are sloppy.

Great and simple reply. I don't thing I would EVER had figured out that....

This will make it much easier to use my GPS.
