Here is a weird one. I can open a command prompt no problem however any command I try to run doesn't work. Just says not reconized as internal......"..I checked C:\windows\system32 and the commands are there fine, so I'm a little stumped at the moment, can someone enlighten me perhaps?

lol well incase someone wants to know for future....do this.

open command prompt and type "path" and it will tell you where the cmd.exe will look for all the commands...mine somehow got changed to something wacked on a completely different drive...and also my email account settings got screwed up too....must have been that damn pc-cillin I was playing with....oh well...oh to change just do this...

path c:\windows\system32

and voila you're up and running....I must have been sleeping when I posted..don't mind me.

heh actually just to add to that....you have to make a registry change for permanent changes..lol...here ya go

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment
just change the key "Path" to C:\Windows\System32 then reboot your machine and voila.

right-click My Computer, Properties, Advanced, Environment Variables.

In the lower box highlight "Path" and click edit.

The line MUST begin with: %SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;

although it can contain other things.
Save your changes.
