Hi

Upgraded to CM6 on the weekend from 5.2.1 and all was ok ready for Monday start of business. passed all UAT checks on the weekend. Monday still showed ok before business openning hours and then come busisness openning hours the system started being loaded it started bouncing up and down to the extent we rolled it back.

Anyone ever experience this and hi-light any known issue?

Any more details than that? I've went through over 20+ 5.2 -- 6.x upgrades and never had one issue. Did you upgrade the firmware on the necessary circuit packs before upgrading? I know I had to do some IPSI, Medpro and CLAN upgrades prior. Assuming we are talking about G650 GW's

Hi

All Mg's, circuit packs etc were upgraded to required firmware. Upgrade to CM6 went smoothly, passed all UAT wed id. Come Monday morning whenit was under load the main servers flipped back and forh and then we had ess's fighting for control. Rolled back for now. 3rd party are pointing at QoS - one for cisco bods to deliberate over

Anecdotal "happened to me once" - a customer upgrading to 6 with customer LAN IPSI connectivity had some issues like that, but only on a certain day of the week at a certain time and despite everything being cool network side, somehow a database backup going through a core Cisco Catalyst was causing IPSI sanity timeouts, which is probably what was happening.

Also, check in your IPSI forms if "ignore connectivity in server arbitration" is at yes or no - default is no, and will cause interchanges if your active can't see an IPSI it should. It would interchange to try and maintain connectivity hoping the standby has better visibility
